Lucas Fleuren

Lucas Fleuren is working on a PhD in applied machine learning in the intensive care unit at the Amsterdam University Medical Center (AmsterdamUMC) and the computational intelligence group at the Vrije Universiteit (VU). He completed a graduate degree in medicine at Utrecht University and worked on big data analysis in the neurological intensive care unit at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston). His current research focusses on expediting and improving sepsis treatment. He is organizer of data and pizza meetings and hackathons through Amsterdam Medical Data Science. Next to his research he works as a resident in intensive care medicine.
