Electrical Maintenance Engineer


To support our maintenance department in Bornem we are looking for an exceptional Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role purpose:
Assure that all electricity and automation installations for melting, production, printing, power plant and building are maintained in an optimal way.

Key Accountabilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for supporting the operation of a multitude of complex automated manufacturing processes by doing daily follow up of performance, making root cause analysis and looking for improvements.

  • Responsible for developing upgrades to manufacturing processes to improve productivity, increase uptime, reduce costs, improve safety, and improve quality.

  • Support for maintenance, engineering and Global CIM projects by:

    • Defining project scopes

    • Doing work preparation and scheduling (ordering parts, …)

    • Keeping track of punch list and handover.

  • Upgrade the skills of technicians through the generation of procedures and training

  • Maintain and standardize technical documentation (electrical drawings, IO-list, tag list, manuals, …)

  • All activities and responsibilities to be compliant and in line with AREI, EH&S, GMP, ISO and IPEC:

    • Comply with all requirements as described in A.R.E.I. (Algemeen Reglement voor Elektrische Installaties) for documentation, inspections and related corrective actions

    • Guarantee safe installations and a safe way of working of our colleagues, etc.

    • Increase the quality and reliability by adding, changing and creating instructions and procedures

  • The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will also be a part of the standby program


  • Bachelor or Master in Electricity / Electrical Engineering / Electro mechanics

  • A first experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry is required

  • You are someone with a positive mentality, team player, with a hands-on approach, good communicator and willing to share knowledge.
